Karate-do Ryushinkai is the Hong Kong branch of the Japan Karate-do Federation Ryushin-kan (4-30-3 Sendagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). Ryushinkai was established in July of 1998 with the mission of promoting Gojuryu style Karate in Hong Kong.
Members of Ryushinkai range from small children to adults. Karate is called 'sport for lifetime'. Therefore it is never too late to start learning karate.
Karate practice is composed of basic movements, kata (form), kumite (sparring) and fitness training. The practice of karate is not only to train the physical body, but to strengthen one's spirit as well.
The characteristics of Karate-do Ryushinkai are:
Periodic rank promotion examination, as well as organization of tournaments with other dojos.
Highly qualified coaches heading up instruction of classes.
Provide individual instruction according to member's goal and capability.
Organize various events to strengthen fellowship among members and coaches.
Dojos are located at convenient locations.
Ryushinkai is authorized to award ranks to those members having passed the rank promotion examination.
