To share Love and Light with students, guiding them to Awakening and Tranquility.
Wisdom, Tranquility and Compassion arises from our love, our sincerity and our understanding that....
Serenity and Generosity are qualities of the Heart... Insight and Concentration are qualities of the Mind... Compassion and Wisdom are qualities of our True Nature
GATE GATE PARAGATE PARASAMGATE BODHI SVAHA
Yoga Mala's vision is bringing Yoga Mala students beyond the practice of Asana.
Mala is a garland. It is a symbol of Japa, or repetition. Through the repetition of mantra, shloka (verses) or sutra (aphorism), japa itself is a meditation and devotional practice. The intent is to create positive vibration as well as develop ability of concentration. It is direct pathway to cultivate steadiness. Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, as taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India, embodies the spirit of Mala. Each asana is a bead on the garland of the series. The series acts as a thread, weaving the asanas together and as a result forming a complete meditation practice. Our individual Prana, vital life force, is the invisible essence of the thread, which is further merged with the Cosmic Prana.
Here at Yoga Mala, we believe that that a spiritual practice and journey always carries on on an off the mat, like a garland as a circle, the beginning and end are right next to each other.
The intention of sharing what we love in an explicit way will be implemented by the following:
Various Hatha Yoga style practice with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga being the center (Mysore style and led classes)
Buddhism meditation and discourse
Workshop and events that promotes personal growth and self-awareness
