恒生優秀運動員獎勵計劃
香港體育學院（體院）矢志為具體育天賦的運動員提供有利甄選、培養和發展的完善環境，並且協助他們追求卓越，在國際體壇爭取佳績。近年，香港運動員在國際體壇的成績不斷進步，屢有突破，實在令人鼓舞。 體院與恒生銀行將透過「恒生優秀運動員獎勵計劃」頒發現金獎勵予在四個大型運動會包括第十屆全國運動會、第四屆東亞運動會、 2008 奧運會及傷殘人士奧運會中取得獎牌的香港運動員 。 兩所機構以對額形式頒發現金。 是項計劃獲得 中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會、香港殘疾人奧委會暨傷殘人士體育協會、以及康樂及文化事務署全力支持，藉此鼓勵及表揚香港運動員在 2005 至 2008 年的大型運動會中勇創高峰，為港爭光。 自 1996 年起恒生銀行已贊助奧運會、傷殘人士奧運會及全國運動會的優秀運動員獎勵計劃，至今已頒發了約港幣 560 萬元現金獎勵予 39 位運動員，今年更首次惠及東亞運動會的獎牌得主。 Hang Seng Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme
The mission of the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) is to provide a conducive environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in international sporting arena. It is most encouraging that Hong Kong athletes have been achieving growing success in international competitions in recent years. The HKSI and Hang Seng Bank continue to recognise local athletes' outstanding achievements by offering cash awards to medallists of the forthcoming 10th National Games, the 4th East Asian Games, and the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games through the Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme. The cash incentives are offered by the HKSI and Hang Seng Bank on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Supported by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Scheme aims to encourage our athletes to win medals for Hong Kong and recognise their outstanding performance at the Games. Hang Seng Bank has been sponsoring the Scheme for the Olympics, the Paralympics and the National Games since 1996, which has so far disbursed about HK$5.6 million to 39 athletes. It is the first time the sponsorship is extended to medallists of the 2005 East Asian Games.
