Back in 1993, when the founder, Sophie Firmin, gave birth to her twins in Hong Kong, breast pumps were hard to come by and were not very popular. She believed that with professional promotion and good after-sales service, this wonderful product would benefit a lot of mothers and babies. In October 1993, she set up Meridian Hong Kong Limited selling Medela breast pumps and other baby products.
In 1999, Meridian became a subsidiary of Celki International Limited. Nowadays, apart from marketing the mother & baby products, Meridian has extended its business to home healthcare market.
