MileSCAN is a Hong Kong based IT security consulting firm. MileSCAN is specialized in Web Application Security and is one of the only software vendors of well-known web application scanners in the Asia-Pacific region.
Our aim is to provide IT security solutions and consulting services for large and small companies around the world. We have expertise on web application security testing and network security assessments. By performing security tests to identify vulnerabilities, we help our clients to secure their business value on the web.
The founders of MileSCAN Technologies are the core team members of the Paros Proxy open-source project. They have over 10 years of experiences in IT and security testing area, such as web application security testing and penetration testing on a wide range of web applications and servers of banking systems. Our commercial product “ParosPro” is one of the 10 common web security scanners listed in the US government website (nist.gov), together with IBM & HP products.
Currently, our team consists of talented developers and consultants that strive for developing evolutionary web application security scanning products and providing on-demand consulting and support services.
Sister Company
Chinotec Technologies Co. is our sister company, working on the Paros Proxy open-source project. Paros Proxy, an open-source MITM proxy with vulnerability scanner, was developed by Chinotec Technologies for IT security professionals to check web application security.
The open-source software “Paros Proxy” is ranked in the number two spot for a global survey of “Web Application Security Scanners” conducted by Insecure.org, and is frequently mentioned in online articles and books. There have been over 400,000 downloads in the world’s largest open source software development website (SourceForge.net) since the software's release in June 2003.
