IB考試，好多家長未真正接觸的時候以為並不需要死讀書，但經過這幾年越來越多人應考的經驗及好多家長到子女Year 9, Year 10 時，覺得MYP的科程沒有太多考試技巧，以及MYP大多無用書，學生對科程的掌握都不太好，所以應建議看多一點書，例如IGCSE， GCE。如果只讀老師的NOTES，到真正考IB時一定都不太好
所以本人補習MYP， IB時，一般都會提供更多完整的NOTES及其他參考書， 及提供考試技巧， 著重如何在考試取得高分，同時本人亦會提供 PROJECT， LAB REPORT意見， PROJECT， LAB REPORT在IB計分中亦是重要的一環。
此外，暑假是一個好時機去開始IGCSE， GCE考試， 學生可以於一月或六月考IGCSE或六月考取GCE這個公開考試。IGCSE是英國會考，其考試成績等同於香港會考，GCE 等同於香港高考或HKDSE，中一至中六的本地或國際學生都可報考。
以下為一般常見問題：
Q：為什麼要考IGCSE 和GCE 考試？
A： 現在的香港考試制度令不少家長卻步， 越來越多家長們都會考慮送小朋友去外國讀書，大多會選擇中四至中五去海外， 而先在香港預先學習英國的課程可以更容易適應。而那些想考完DSE去外國的， 考取GCE更是必須的， 因為DSE競爭激烈能考取的好成績大多會比GCE 考取 A＊ 的難。所以用GCE和IGCSE成績去申請英國的大學是比較有利。
Q：學生只有中二或中三，可否讀IGCSE考試？
A：當然可以， 本人曾有中一和中二學生在IGCSE的CHEM， MATHS 和FURTHER MATHS 中取得A＊ 成績。
Q：我兒子校內成績不太好， 他可否報讀？
A：IGCSE學習的籠範圍比較闊，但問題模式相對香港學校比較淺， 很多時本地的學校都會將問題問得很複雜， 學生都明白所學的東西，但每次都考得很差， 以至自信心低甚至無心向學 ， 而很多學生接觸到IGCSE後發覺自己都可以考取好成績， 都會比較更積極及自信心大了。
Q: 英國讀書，暑假回港，可否報讀？
A：有很多留學生暑假都會先學定一、兩份卷， 大多Year 12 讀maths的同學會先學C1 或S1。Year 13 會先開始C3或M1 或D1。
