Following the traditions of bespoke tailors in Savile Row and traditional Shanghainese and Hong Kong custom tailors, Peter So has a long history of personal excellence in his craft.
Peter So, proprietor of British Tailors, began an apprenticeship with a prominent tailor in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel at the tender age of 13. By 1978, Mr. So has built his own tailoring empire with numerous stores throughout the Hong Kong region, including the Regent Hotel, Pacific Place, and Ocean Terminal. As a result, he has formed strong and lasting connections to the fashionable elites in both Hong Kong and abroad.
The New York Times, one of the most influential newspapers in the United States, published the article One Woman抯 Quest for a Hong Kong Suit by Amanda Mayer Stinchecum which recommended the services provided by British Tailors.
Our tailoring service, marked by the warm and personal approach, can be traced back to the far reaching tradition in Shanghai. For over 40 years we have been crafting suits, shirts, shoes, and leather goods. Discover what thousands have already experienced. But don抰 take our word for it © 1989 New York Times
