Joyful English is run by a group of dedicated teaching professionals with a passion to improve the English proficiency of children.
This course focuses on spoken English through conversation, story reading, poetry reading and class presentations.
Our goal is to develop a love of the English language to help the children communicate effectively.
Each lesson covers a subject for conversation using storybooks, poems or other reading materials and introduces the language, grammar and vocabulary associated with the topic.
This class is also an excellent opportunity for students to speak up in front of a group through presentations.
Students focus on developing effective communication skills by presenting their work in a number of different formats.
This course aims at improving the students’ overall English foundation: reading, listening, speaking and writing skills through comprehension, grammar and creative writing exercises.
Group discussions, debates and competitions will be carried out regularly to boost the students’ interest and motivation.
We expertise in training students for open speech competitions in English and Putonghua. Besides posture and presentation, our native teachers will train the students on the pronunciation, intonation, interpretation and the use of body language in interpreting their chosen poem / story. Depending on the organizer, participants will usually be awarded a mark sheet, a certificate, a flag, a medal or a trophy from the organizing association.
Joyful English was established in May 2002 and it is fully registered and certified by the Hong Kong Educational Manpower Bureau.
Our teachers are qualified native English speakers who are carefully selected for their education, multi-culturalism, teaching experience and their sensitivity to the needs of all our students.
Our centre provides a stimulating environment for students to develop their interest and initiative in learning the English language. We strive to create a positive and interactive learning environment for students to develop their English language skills while having fun at the same time.
By popular demand we now offer additional languages, French and Putonghua classes. Children in Hong Kong and China are highly encouraged to learn a second or even a third or a fourth language on top of their mother tongue. It is believed that learning another language opens one’s mind to new ideas and new ways of looking at the world!

Children develop their English language skills with fun and educational activities through play, music, art and phonics. They learn to socialize, participate in group activities, explore their imaginations and develop their English vocabulary. This course is suitable for children who are just beginning to learn English as a second language.
An entertaining approach to motivate children to develop the ability and confidence to use English through various interactive activities such as fun reading, role playing, singing and other fun activities. The Letterland Phonics program from the United Kingdom will also be introduced in these classes.
