HKMPO is not only a home for orchestral players from all walks who make home in HK but also makes and grows music locally by collaborating with local soloists and composers. Despite being a green pro-am group, we have worked with HK soloists of piano, cello, singers, choirs and stage artists. We also premiered music by local composers in an UNESCO event in 2014. In the fruitful year of 2015, the Orchestra collaborated with local soloists to present a concert of all Russian programmes successfully, and also presented crossover concerts with soloists of pipa, guzheng and dizi and Chinese ensembles. 香港都會愛樂不單是一個以港為家的、來自各行各業的管弦樂手的家，我們更致力跟本地獨奏家及作曲家一起令音樂更貼地、讓音樂在香港落地生根。作為一個成立不久的職業及業餘音樂團體，樂團曽跟本港的鋼琴、大提琴、琵琶、古箏、笛子獨奏家、歌手、合唱團、舞台藝術家、中樂團合作。樂團更於2014年在聯合國教科文組織的活動中發表本地作曲家的作品。2015年是豐盛的一年，樂團跟本地獨奏家成功合演了一場全俄羅斯節目的音樂會，也跟琵琶、古箏、笛子獨奏家和中樂團舉行了多場跨界別的音樂會。
