Aileen Piano
Biography
Ms. Aileen began studying piano and musical literacy at the age of four. She graduated from the University of Toronto, minor in Music and studied piano with Ms. Barbara Cheung in Toronto, Canada. She holds a LTCL and ATCL diploma in piano from the Trinity College London both with distinction and obtained the Diploma in Music Performance in Piano from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is continuing to pursue her studies with Ms. Michelana Lam in Hong Kong.
Ms. Aileen has a great passion for music and teaching. In Toronto, she worked with various music centers as a summer camp assistant, piano accompanist, and a teacher for over 7 years. At present, she is teaching at her home studio in Tsing Yi, Hong Kong for nearly 12 years. Besides teaching, Ms. Aileen is also Vice President of International Institute for Music Education (IIME), a non-profit organization. It is a network of qualified professional musicians and educators who are dedicated to impart positive values of music and music education to children, parents, and music teachers via community work and music education programs.
Ms. Aileen在4歲時開始學習鋼琴和音樂。她畢業於多倫多大學，副修音樂並跟隨Ms. Barbara Cheung 在加拿大多倫多學習鋼琴。她擁有LTCL及ATCL文憑鋼琴(Trinity College London)並取得優異 (Distinction)的成績，並從香港中文大學獲得音樂鋼琴表演文憑。她繼續追求她的學業並跟隨 Ms. Michelana Lam學習鋼琴。
Ms. Aileen 對音樂和教學有很大的熱誠。在多倫多，她曾與不同的音樂中心合作, 例如作為一個夏令營助教，鋼琴伴奏，和導師超過7年。目前，她在青衣的音樂工作室教學有12年。
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is to assist students in the pursuit of musical excellence by focusing on the whole musicianship along with music theory, music history, sight reading, and improvisation. I am deeply dedicated to giving students rich musical knowledge and inspirations, allowing them to discover a life-long fulfillment in piano and music.
Ultimately, I hope to integrate music as a key component of students’ lives, and hopefully, their lives are enriched by music.
Besides preparing students for examinations, they are strongly encouraged to participate in competitions and live performances.
KAWAI GE-20 Grand Piano is used for lessons.
我的教學理念是專注於整體音樂修養與音樂理論，音樂史，視奏，即興，以幫助學生在追求音樂的卓越。我深深致力於給學生豐富的音樂知識和靈感，讓他們能與鋼琴和音樂成為終身的朋友。
最後，我希望音樂能成為學生生活的重要部分，並希望他們的生活被音樂豐富的。
除了為學生準備考試，也鼓勵他們參加比賽和現場表演。
