Kado Studio's Japanese Flower Arrangement (Ikenobo Ikebana) Course
About Ikenobo ikebana
Ikebana is a traditional form of art in Japan. In ancient time, ikebana learning was restricted to upper class only. Ikebana learning was considered (and is still widely been considered) as a sign of social status and good upbringing. Japanese believe that learning ikebana can help students develop good manner and improve concentration.
Nowadays, Ikebana learning is not restricted by gender, age, culture, race, or social status. Everyone can enjoy the beauty of ikebana. Ikebana students come from different backgrounds and there are ikebana students all over the world.
Ikenobo is the origin of ikebana with 550 years of history. Ikenobo ikebana retains the traditional spirits of ikebana, yet has adopted new elements in contemporary art. Learning Ikenobo ikebana can help people develop their artistic sense and creativity, and grow spiritually. Ikebana is also a professional skill. Upon receiving the instructor certificate, students can become licensed ikebana instructors.
