Handkerchief Production is a creative studio dedicated to interdisciplinary experiments in art and design. Founded by visual artist Amy Cheung and video artist Erkka Nissinen, we straddle in the fields of branding, art, spatial design, multimedia & fashion. “handkerchief” is a sub-brand of the studio launched recently focusing on fashion as a medium of expression. Each year we present 2 conceptual collections that respond to a significant discourse of our time. At “post-financial tsunami” era, our team started to critically examine patterns and structure of global economy, value shifters, bailouts, pretension, tension and equilibrium.. etc, and we interpreted many of the key issues and transcended the accent of this global phenomenon into cuts, shapes, fabrics, accessories and details presented in “Lost Queen in Metropolis”.
