This chinese antique is a very rare and big Huanghuali wardrobe from Ming dynasty. The carpentry skill is superb! The material selection is very strict with all pieces of the same color, grains and all from big huanghuali trees.
The carving door panel is very thick, the floating carving alone is about 10-12mm deep. Very beautiful color and patina! Museum quality and it must be from a higher official family!
明 代黄花梨大立柜，做工非凡，选料精致，每一块都具备几乎同样的颜色，纹理，极有可能整个柜用料都出自同一颗黄花梨树。非常特别的是柜的顶部可以拿下来，上 面就是一个盖子，相信单凭照片和眼观，任何人都看不出这一点。柜门板很厚，单浮雕部分凸起就有1-1.2厘米高，可见用料之大方。 馆藏级别，应该出自高官之家庭。 柜子高161厘米，宽102厘米，厚40厘米。重约60多公斤，估计的，没量，两个壮汉抬都挺费劲。
