Education For Good Community Interest Company Limited(EFG) is an initiative of Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum (HKSEF), a Hong Kong based organization aims to create and sustain a civic movement of social entrepreneurship. The purpose for HKSEF to set up EFG is to spearhead innovative, scalable educational and training programs contributing to the development of social entrepreneurship and social innovation. EFG is sponsored by HKSEF, and also considered as the education wing of HKSEF. It is founded and chaired by Dr. KK Tse, Vice Chairman of HKSEF and Mrs. Rebecca Yung, Vice Hong Kong Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association.

What is Community Interest Company?

Community Interest Company (CIC) is a legal form for social enterprises in the UK. Although this legal form is not available in Hong Kong, EFG is inspired by the spirit of the CIC and we have committed ourselves to adhering to one of its governing principles, namely, no more than one third of the net profits will be distributed to the shareholders as dividends.
