We handle a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters including local and overseas patent, design, copyright and trade mark registration, licensing, enforcement and related commercial transactions through a team of staff with technical backgrounds in the areas of computers, electronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biochemistry and chemistry. We maintain a close working relationship with relevant Government departments and enforcement agents for local and cross border enforcement. The partner in charge has practised intellectual property law for over 20 years. Besides giving regular public lectures, his publications on Hong Kong and Chinese intellectual property issues have been widely circulated. He has been elected the Hong Kong Group President of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association. We advise clients on various aspects of and relating to information technology and e-commerce, including issues pertaining to the internet, data protection, web sites, domain names, jurisdiction, on-line gambling, on-line contracts and digital signatures and also undertake works of a contentious nature involving information technology of e-commerce.
