One of the most challenging yet rewarding treks of “Solukhumbu” region which is the most rejoiced trekking region in Nepal is “Everest base camp trek”. Reaching at a soaring height of above 5,000m from the sea level with the view of none other than the great Mt. Everest standing tall smiling back at every travellers from 8848m is a kind of a trek which not only other treks of Nepal but the whole world cannot afford.
Making our way from Kathmandu by taking a flight to the “Tenzing Hillary Ariport” which has one of the shortest runways in the world is itself a very exhilarating experience. Lukla is the port of entry to the famous Everest region and its treks. Namche bazaar which located at the height of 3440m above the sea level is the most advanced town in the region by far and a tourist hub. The trek would include Tengboche, Lobuche, and Kalapatthar.

Likewise Lobuche is the last place for overnight stay for explorer attempting ascend to the peak of Mount Everest. The whole Mount Everest base camp trek is a upper intermediate trek where fitness level is must because altitude sickness kick in after an altitude of 3000m. There are some steep ascend and descend in altitude where trekkers make their way in slow and steady manner and only Sherpa’s are able to keep up their pace. The best known season to trek Mount Everest Base camp are autumn (Sept to Nov) and spring (March to May).
