自幼習芭蕾舞及鋼琴，考獲英國皇家學院及倫敦聖三一學院第8級，資深影、視及舞台劇演員，曾為香港話劇團全職演員。並於1983年考入倫敦著名的偉伯德格拉斯 戲劇學院深造，成為該院首位中國學生，並以最優異成績畢業。1996年返港定居，被香港大取錄修讀戲劇碩士學位。
