About me

I start piping at the age of 16. At the beginning, I learnt from books with computer aids. During each summer, I studied piping with Gurkha regiments which stationed in Hong Kong, including the 6th Queen Elizabeth’s Own Gurkha Rifles Pipes and Drums and the 10th Princess Mary's Own Gurkha Rifles Pipes and Drums.

In 1997, I studied with Bruce Gandy and Scott MacAulay at the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada, Summer side, Prince Edward Island. In October of 1997, I won the award for most promising player at the Nicol-Brown Invitational Competition.

In December of 1997, I studied with Angus J MacLellan at the College of Piping, Glasgow, Scotland, and earned the Graduate Certificate and the Teaching Certificate by the Institute of Piping.
