Winner of leading US Jazz Publication JAZZIZ'z "Woodwinds on Fire" competition judged by Michael Brecker in 1996.
Jazz Performance skills honed over many years in Sweden and Britain playing clubs and festivals including Bracknell, Brecon and JVC with performers including Tony Levin, John Critchinson, Henry Lowther, Mark Fletcher and Fred Baker.
Recordings with BBC Radio, National Geographic and Universal Films, BBC Television including work with Eric Bibb, Ric Sanders, Gordon Giltrap and P.P. Arnold/Mick Jagger.
Composing and Recording for own quartet Natural Signs (with funding from West Midlands Arts), and for Big Life Recording Company. Experienced in use of Vision software for the Apple Mac.

Research
Carrying out ongoing research into the development of performance and instrumental education. Is doing fieldwork research into traditional Scottish and Irish music and, from its roots to contemporary performances.
Education
Teaches both classical and improvisational flute to pupils at all levels, as well as taking part in jazz workshops.

Producer/presenter for BBC Radio West Midlands programme "Music Spoken Here" a live music programme including on-air interviews.

Natural Signs are playing in the Montreux Jazz Festival on 19th July 2000 at Parc Vernex.
A mini tour of Scotland, England & Wales is planned for November 2000.
CD "Tales of Contentment" was completed last summer.
Appeared with Gordon Giltrap at Martin Taylor's Guitar Festival at Kirkmichael in May and will be recording a duo album with Gordon in the Summer.
