The Hong Kong Bloco
The Hong Kong Bloco is a group of musicians that specializes in playing rhythms from Brazil, mainly the Samba.
Formed by renowned drummer Howard Lee, who has spent more than 14 months travailing and living in Brazil, he has attended 5 different carnivals between 2003-2004 in 4 different cities; Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Recife and Olinda.
He has studied with numerous Brazilian percussionists including Junior Mangueira from Escola de Samba Esta誽o Primeira de Mangueira, M嫫cio Bahia (Hermeto Pascoal drummer for 24 years) and Samba jazz drummer Edu Ribeiro.
The HK Bloco are made up of primarily 4 members who are all professional drummers already working in Hong Kong.
