Diploma in Computer-aided Design with Autodesk AutoCAD (CEF Approved) Course Objectives
To provide course participants with the skills, knowledge and understanding on the use of Autodesk AutoCAD for the production of a wide variety of computer-aided drawings for use in graphic design, interior design, and architectural and engineering drafting. On completion of this course, students will be able to:
- describe and use the AutoCAD drawing commands
- produce 2D and 3D drawings for a wide range of uses
- edit existing AutoCAD drawings.

Course Prerequisites
Applicants should be computer-literate with a sound working knowledge of the Windows operating systems. Previous knowledge of AutoCAD is not necessary.
Course Content
The programme consists of the following three modules. AutoCAD 2007 will be used during hands-on practice.

Title of Award and Assessment Methods
Each module includes a practical project; all projects will be assessed according to technical skills, creativity, functionality and aesthetic value. On completion of the assessed modules, the students will be able to construct a portfolio based on their project work. The course diploma will be awarded to the students who pass in all project assessments and produce a satisfactory portfolio.
Course Fee
$6,400 ($1,280 after 80% subsidy from CEF upon successful completion of the course)
Application Procedure
- Proceed with on-line registration or send the completed enrolment form (download) to Welkin Computer Training, 3/F, Righteous Centre, 585 Nathan Road, Mongkok, Kowloon together with a cheque (made payable to Welkin Compuer Training) for the program fee of $6400.
- Complete in the CEF Application Form (download) and send it to Office of the Continuing Education Fund,
Room 916, 9/F, Kwai Hing Government Offices, 166-174 Hing Fong Road, Kwai Chung,
New Territories, together with a photocopy of your HKID Card before course commencement.
- Applicants will receive application results from the Office of the CEF within 14 working days.
