謝氏畢業於香港中文大學音樂系，師隨艾君(Izaskun Erdocia)女士仕主修長笛演奏。謝氏自七歲起學習長笛，八歲便已參加管弦樂團。

謝氏亦活躍於演奏事業，她是香港青年管樂演奏家的成員之一，曾是香港青少年管弦樂團的首席長笛，並兼任短笛演奏。她亦曾是崇基學院崇基管樂團的團員，也熱衷於小組合奏及其他長笛獨奏曲目。她亦參加過本地及海外的長笛國際大師班深造長笛演奏，包括世界最知名的長笛手之一的詹姆斯·高威、著名長笛演奏家及專家崔佛懷、香港管弦樂團首席長笛史德琳和香港著名音樂教育工作者及編曲家余永進老師等。於 2014 年獲邀與香港弦人合奏。

除了音樂演奏，謝氏也致力投身於於音樂教育，擁有六年長笛和樂理教學經驗。她任教於數間本地中小學校和國際學校，分別有聖士提反書院、英基九龍小學、英皇佐治五世學校和沙田蘇浙公學。任教學生在長笛術科考試和樂理考試中均取得優異成績。另外，現職駐校管樂小組和管樂團導師。

今年七月，謝氏將會分別遠赴荷蘭和澳洲悉尼參與2017 World Music Contest和2017澳洲國際音樂節。來年，謝氏將會在香港中文大學修讀音樂教育文憑，繼續專研音樂演奏和教育。

Helen Tse began her flute playing at the age of 7 and participated in orchestra at 8. Helen is currently a final year Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she is studying flute under the tutelage of Ms Izaskun Erdocia. She is the flautist in Hong Kong Young Musicians’ Wind Orchestra. She used to be the principal in flute and piccolo in orchestra. She was the principal flute of the Hong Kong Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and has given numerous performances in Hong Kong. She has also invited to be the guest player in Chordophonia String Orchestra in 2014.

Helen has also received instructions from local and international renowned flautist Ms Megan Sterling, Sir James Galway, Mr Trevor Wye and Mr Yu Wing Chun. Helen has played in various bands and ensembles, including the Chung Chi Wind Orchestra, Gavotte Flute Ensemble and band from the Music Office. In 2015, Helen was selected to perform in the international flute masterclass of Mr. Trevor Wye in London.

Apart from a performer, she also has rich experience in music teaching, many of her students awarded outstanding results in public music examinations. Helen is also a flute instructor in several local and international schools in Hong Kong, such as St. Stephen’s College, EFS Kowloon Junior School, King George V School, Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Shatin). 

Helen is going to 2017 World Music Contest in Netherland and 2017 Australian International Music Festival in this Summer. She is admitted to the Chinese University of Hong Kong for her postgraduate diploma of music education study in the coming September.
