Science is our everyday life. Science is a habit of mind and a way of thinking. As our world is rapidly and constantly changing, citizens of the future must be life-long learners and creative problem solvers. Science Workshop®’s vision is to offer an environment of exploration for learners, from toddlers to teens, to construct their knowledge and understanding in Science, Mathematics and Technology.
We provide opportunities for students from to explore in these subject areas which are vital to the world's current and future development. Our institution encourages learners to be inquisitive, observant, creative and analytical. Our aim is to cultivate in our students the passion for thinking, the sense of wonder and a love of learning. Our activity-based courses adopt the constructivist approach for learners.
Science Workshop® was founded in December 2000 and has been registered with the Hong Kong Government Education Bureau since June 2001. We are the first off-school educational institution in Hong Kong dedicated to providing high-quality programs with activities integrating science, mathematics and technology for learners ages two to sixteen. We are the industry leader in off-school education for these subject areas.
Our Educational Philosophy
Science Workshop® paves the path to helping students excel in many of the prestigious and elite kindergarten and primary schools. We specialize in designing innovative academic programs in science, mathematics and technology. Our curriculum is written to supplement and cover the whole spectrum of various school syllabi in the related subject areas, including the US, UK and IB curricula. Our programs are selected to closely follow the concepts students will study at school. By focusing on the main ideas and the key techniques, our experienced facilitators aim to strengthen foundations and improve understandings for students in their own school curricula.
