二零一九年，英國英語中心在九龍城開幕，這是我們第二間英語中心，超過十年教學經驗。由英國老師教授 ，確保小朋友在正確英國英語發音的環境中學習。針對幼兒的學習能力ability、需要needs和興趣interests，採用合適的教學方法(different approach)，於首次試堂(免費)後英語老師會為小朋友設計合適及個人化的課堂內容 ，包括英文自然發音/拼音(phonics)、幼兒早期閱讀(early reading)、快速閱讀技巧(fast track reading)及創意寫作(creative writing)。
With a philosophy of educating children 'how they learn' as opposede to how it suits us to teach; we feel that here at Teahk our approach is both, innovative and effective. We do not adopt the traditional 'teacher' approach, but rather a mentor or older brother/sister. Children are less intimidated and happier with this model and happy children, learn much more effectively. We encourage freestyle conversation and often take the lead from the students themselves.

Free trial lesson is provided to all new students, it's essential for us to learn more about a new student before s/he starts. By assessing your child in their first lesson, we will then tailor future lessons based upon their individual personality and learning styles, ensuring pleasant, progressive and effective English language development.
We have always tried to remain a place where kids love to come. Somewhere that they can be themselves, where they are not judged and feel very welcome. School is tough enough and we do not want to simply be an extension or mirror of school life. Yes we have rules, but they are simple and fair, and ones which make sense to kids. We actively encourage our students to lie on the floor to work, (It's clean and they love it!) laugh and make silly sounds, feel unafraid to speak their minds and just enjoy their time with us. If children are happy, they are learning!
Learning a second language is difficult and painful, but this can be altered to manageable and fun, if the process is systemic to the way children actually learn, rather than how we might wish to teach. A baby learns its native language by:
1st. Listening.
2nd. Mimicking or copying.
3rd. Word association with objects.
4th. Sentence structure and conversation.
5th. Reading.
It may surprise you to notice that reading is the last on the list. Reading ability is essentially an indication or measuring tool, by which we can assess someone’s ability in a given language. Whilst reading is certainly a way of developing and improving a language, it is extremely difficult on its own, to actually use as a learning tool.
This is why we have adopted the very prestigious award winning reading programme... ‘Headsprout’, because it utilises, seeing, listening, speaking, phonic reading and physical interactiveness. It is almost impossible for a child not to progress quickly by sticking to this innovative learning strategy, because it mimics the natural way in which we approach learning a language.

## We encourage our parents and students to find a 'study buddy' to have lessons together with as this shared interaction can be benefitial in learing.
## If you are unable to find a 'buddy'; inform us that you're open to have another child to join the class and we will try to arrange this in the future.
