3D Computer-Aided Design using AutoCAD
Objectives
The course is designed for experience 2D CAD designer to learn working on drawing 3D objects in AutoCAD. Fundamentals 3-dimentional concepts will be introduced, as well as working 3D techniques in AutoCAD like modeling, camera, lighting, materials and renderings.
Course Content
1. Review of AutoCAD Essential 2D Commands Use in 3D - Copy / Move / Rotate / Mirror, Line / Polyline, Pedit, Block / Wblock / Xref, Layers, Model Space / Paper Space Application at 3D
2. AutoCAD 3D Concept and Environment - 3D Concept and Tools, Commands 'viewports', 'view', 'mview', Axonometric / Isometric / Perspective Concept in AutoCAD 3D, UCS Concept and Applications
3. Build 3D Model in AutoCAD 1 - Primitive AutoCAD 3D solids, Region / Boundary / Boundary Polyline, Extrude, Revolve, Slice / Section, Interference, Lettering / Dimensioning at 3D Environment
4. Build 3D Model in AutoCAD 2 - 3D Face / 3D Surface / Thickness, Revolved Surface / Tabulated Surface / Ruled Surface / Edge Surface
5. 3D Model Editing - Solid Editing - Fillet / Chamfer / Boolean Operation / Extrude / Offset / Move / Delete / Sweep / Separate / Imprint; Surface Editing
6. AutoCAD 3D Camera Setting - Perspective Camera Concept, Tools and Setting, Command 'dview' Working Procedure and Skills
7. AutoCAD Lightings - Concept, Tools and Setting, Shadows Setting, Ambient Light / Spot Light / Point Light / Distant Light Applications
8. AutoCAD Materials - Material Mapping Tools, Concept and Setting, Material Library, Create and Edit Materials
9. AutoCAD 3D Rendering - Rendering Setup, Model Space / Paper Space Printing Technique in AutoCAD 3D, AutoCAD Rendering Printing Skills like Hidden Mode / Shaded Mode / Rendered Mode, Rendering Fine Tuning Commands and Tools
10. Introduction on AutoCAD 3D to 3DSMax - Preparation Works before Transferred to 3DSMax, Similarity and Differences between AutoCAD and 3DSMax at Build Models / Material Mapping / Lighting Setup and Rendering
Admission Requirements
Participants should have basic knowledge in AutoCAD and computer-aided design. Prior knowledge in 3D geometry will be advantageous
