MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Being the typical first-time parent, I started early on my research of what I, as a parent, can do to help develop my child into an individual. I wanted to provide my child with opportunities to nurture her in becoming a contributing member of our society. What I had found from my research was that the programs offered by the majority of nurseries, playgroups, preschools and other child development centers available in Hong Kong were mainly focused on acquiring knowledge, such as the practice of phonics and arithmetic, rather than on the development of the child’s brain and creative thinking. Though the acquisition of knowledge is very important, I was looking for something more. Through research and speaking with parents and friends, I was introduced to the Shichida Method. What captured my interest in the Shichida Method was its emphasis not only on the development of a child’s brain, creativity and ability, but it also focuses on fostering a "well balanced" individual and the importance of using our heart to teach our children which in turn encourages them to develop a kind heart. The development of my own child and those around me is the very reason why the Shichida Method has been brought to Hong Kong.
OUR VISION
Within the first months, babies learn the taste of sweetness in their milk, the smell of their mother’s scent, the warmth of their mother’s touch, the sound of their father’s voice, the joy in the smile of their grandparents as they are exposed to experiences outside their mother’s womb. Children are learning daily and it is up to us, as parents, to provide our children with opportunities to learn and to equip them with skills to enter into society.
The Shichida Method is not only about providing your child with a platform to learn and to provide them with knowledge, it is about developing an individual - an individual with a heart to love, respect and appreciate. It is about raising your child with a kind heart, big dream and full of talent.
Babies learn how to breath within just seconds of taking their first breathe of air. That first taste of air marks the beginning of their journey of learning.
