    Humans have an innate bond with nature
    Even as adults, looking at greenery, taking a hike or engaging in outdoor physical activities are examples of activities that give us comfort
    Simply climbing a tree brings a smile to any child's face regardless of his background or culture
    Studies have shown that in early childhood development, it is important children discover this "ecopsychological self" - the natural sense of self in relation to the natural world
    Opportunities to learn about the natural world - the plants and the animals - enhance the physical, psychological and spiritual well-being of any child

Grasp the world through senses

    Young children use a scientific method to explore their world. They develop questions in their minds but unable to verbalize them, they use their senses to collect data in attempts to answer their own questions
    In order for children to fully understand a new thing, they need to experience it with their senses - they see, they smell, they hear, they touch and they taste
    Sensory play is process driven and not product oriented. There is no "right" or "wrong" answer. This allows children opportunities for REAL self expression, which in turn builds their self esteem
