What to expect:
"War Games" used to be part of the training provided to military personnel - the aim was to teach team work and tactics, to build teams with enhanced communication and with the ability to adapt different conflict situations.
Nowadays, "War Games" are fun games which borrow from the army training methods and simulate a war experience for participants.
Many of the original goals of "War Games", such as team-building, and teaching adaptability, effective communication and strategy, are just as applicable to civilian life as they are on a battlefield.
Participants go through a series of situations where they are required to work together with teammates, undertake different roles in a team effort or lead a team of several people.
In order to succeed in their missions, participants are taught the importance of self-awareness and discipline, the ability to adapt quickly when faced with different situations and the leadership skills to assess risks and make tactical decisions.
This War Game Training Center is run by an ex-British Senior Officer, and its staff includes ex-armed forces personnel. They use war games as training and motivational tool for groups from all walks of life, including professional and other vocational groups, sporting clubs, teams and associations, university students, interest groups and friends looking for a fun day out.
