比賽中, 當場通常會先以冷敷治療, 及後再以熱敷作較長期治療/保養.

扭傷、骨折、肌肉和韌帶拉傷, 好多時或會損傷到組織, 若果組織內出血, 即有青紫色現象, 就用冷敷, 先止血.

熱敷使血管擴張血液循環,可以消散傷處周圍的瘀血.  冷敷使血管收縮,限制出血量。受傷後要冷敷還是熱敷, 要看你是那一種傷啊!!
