OCS opened an agency in Hong Kong in September 1958. In 1973 its second locally incorporated overseas subsidiary - OCS Hong Kong Co., Ltd - was established. OCS Hong Kong Co. Ltd. is wholly owned by OCS. In February 1996 satellite editions of the Asahi Shimbun and the Nihon Keizai Shimbun were printed for the first time in Hong Kong and the company became evolved in newspaper distribution and periodicals, as well as international courier business.
