CHRIS DUNDON [[email protected]]Chris Dundon is a British national who arrived in Hong Kong in 1990. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics LLB, the Hong Kong University PCLL, Nankai University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong Chinese Language Studies Program. Chris is a Mandarin and Cantonese speaker.
Chris is a HKSAR-qualified solicitor holding a post-graduate Certificate in Law from the University of Hong Kong. He is also licensed to practice law in the UK and European Union-member countries.

JUNE Y. CHEAH [[email protected]] June Cheah is a British national who arrived in Hong Kong in 1993. She is a graduate of Anglia Polytechnic University (LLB) and the College of Law at Guildford (Law Society of England and Wales Solicitors' Final Examination). June is a HKSAR qualified solicitor and a native English and Cantonese speaker.
June practices commercial and corporate law with a specialization in entertainment and media industry related matters. She is a founder of business operations in the HKSAR and was one of a two lawyer team which won the award for Best Entertainment Law Department in the 1999 Asian Law Awards.
SASHA PAULINE ALEXANDRA HALDANE [[email protected]] Sasha is a New Zealander who arrived in Hong Kong at the age of 3. She is a graduate of the University of Canterbury, Christchurch. She is admitted in New Zealand, the UK, New South Wales, Tasmania, and Hong Kong. In addition to extensive criminal law practice in Hong Kong since 1992, she has worked for Legal Aid and the DPP in New South Wales, Australia.
SERVICES:
COMMERCIAL/CORPORATE: The firm provides a wide range of commercial services, from advice on corporate structure for businesses from start up through to listing, including shareholders agreements, options, employment issues, licensing, intellectual property, directors' duties etc.
IMMIGRATION: The firm advises local and international business on immigration issues, particularly in respect of processing and obtaining work visas for overseas staff required to work in Hong Kong. Also the firm provides advice for both corporations and individuals on immigration issues, such as obtaining investment visas, permanent resident status, status of, and employment for dependants.
LEASING: The firm represents large commercial tenants and provides lease review and negotiation services with up to date advice on options, rent review clauses, land use, with a particular emphasis on change of use issues for Food & Beverage clients and non-traditional office use tenants.
LICENSING & CONTROL: With the increased regulation of such public activities as broadcasting, telecommunications, food sales, entertainment, events and commercial activities, liaison with the HKSAR government is an area of major importance.
The firm works to ensure that clients can easily find their way through the legislative and administrative process, from concept to execution, necessary to meet legal requirements in this area in a manner consistent with their commercial aims.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION: The firm represents both local and international clients providing litigation services particularly in respect of commercial matters, shareholder disputes, employment, sale of goods, enforcement of intellectual property, etc.
In addition, the firm represents many well-established business operators in Hong Kong in licensing issues and the regulation of their business operations as required by the government.
ENFORCEMENT: The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), the Hong Kong Police Force and such industry-specific regulators as the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and Customs & Excise are playing ever increasing roles in overseeing business operations in the HKSAR. Liaison with and the management of responses to investigations or approaches by these bodies are vital to the continued success of both companies and individuals.
The complex, ever-changing framework of regulations makes a hands-on approach an effective addition to in-house counsel, management decision-making and what can at times become crisis management.
