The Grayling that was founded in London in 1981 offered exclusively public relations and, in its early years, established a big reputation for its consumer PR expertise.

We've come a long way since then.

As well as adding specialist public affairs and event management expertise during the 80's and 90's, our PR offer now extends to each of our ten offices in the UK, continental Europe and Asia. We have a lot of experience in running international PR programmes. Through our sister companies in Huntsworth we can access many more countries.

Our longest standing client - Mars, Inc. - goes back over 30 years. This may sound like ridiculous PR puff given that Grayling was founded in 1981! But Grayling acquired a small consultancy in its early years that had been working with Pedigree Petfoods for 10 years and the client itself regards this as continuity.

Many other PR clients have stayed loyal to us for more than five years and we have celebrated a decade of joint activity with several others.

RS Live and Park Avenue are part of Grayling. They are specialist face to face communications businesses. We believe that the live event, skilfully crafted, can add a powerful dynamic to your marketing and communications activities. Each event we manage will be tailor-made for the market, the message and the means of delivery.

We create environments in which our clients can meet and speak to their audiences face to face. We develop the theme and realise it, handling all the delegate management and the logistics on the day. Nothing comes between our clients and their audiences. It’s seamless.

We do what all good public relations companies do: we sustain a positive public image for our clients among the audiences that are important to them. There’s no one set way of doing it; if there were, it would be easy. What makes us different? Our attitude, and our approach. Anyone can build a target list of media. Anyone can put out a press release. But not everyone can start with the objective, and work back from it to find the best route, the best way of doing things. And not everyone has our determination, either. Our clients find themselves on speaker platforms or talking to influencer groups they hadn’t considered or targeted. They find themselves achieving press coverage beyond their expectations. They find the image they have conceived of themselves taking shape publicly and before their eyes.

The Grayling Political Strategy network is headquartered in London and is one of the longest established public affairs consultancies in the UK dating back to the creation of Westminster Strategy in 1986. As a result of the merger with Citigate Public Affairs in June 2007, Grayling is now one of the largest public affairs consultancies.

We are also one of the founders of the Association of Professional Politicial Consultants (APPC) and all our consultants adhere to the APPC Code of Conduct.
