Since its inception in 1975 Funderland has attracted the best Showmen and attractions from across Europe and beyond. Widely regarded as one of Europe's leading indoor Theme Park events it is a completely Irish owned success story and continues to attract record numbers in Dublin, Cork, Belfast and Limerick
Funderland came about when the Bird Group realised there was a niche for a temporary theme park in Ireland. They secured the R.D.S. in Dublin as their venue and have never looked back. The operation has grown and grown over the years but the mission remains the same “to provide top class entertainment for the people of Ireland at an affordable cost”. It is with this in mind that the promoters of Funderland have year in year out assembled the best, contemporary rides and attractions from around the world and brought them not only to Dublin but also to Cork, Belfast and Limerick.
Funderland Dublin
Dublin Funderland is the Flagship venue, the largest indoor event of its kind in Europe. Dublin has seen some very weird and wonderful things over the 30 years not least a tank of man-eating sharks, a high wire motorcycle act, the Wall of Death, performing Dolphins and much, much more.
Funderland Cork
"The Southern Capital" has been home to the event since 1995. It has become one of the most eagerly anticipated entertainment events at Easter in Cork each year since and has grown to match the demands and tastes of the patrons.
Funderland Belfast
Funderland opened its doors in Belfast in 1981 initially in The Kings Hall however since leaving the Kings Hall a number of years ago the event has doubled in size. To mark the 20th anniversary in 2000 it not only had the largest Mobile Theme Park ever in Northern Ireland it also secured the incredible "American Circus".
Funderland Limerick
May 2000 saw Limerick play host to its first Funderland event and the response of the people of the Midwest region was remarkable. The many thousands of people who attended were treated to an incredible array of white knuckle and family rides and attractions. The success of the event in Limerick means that plans are afoot to make this an annual event.
