China and Australia have economic strengths that complement each other. As Premier Wen Jiabao expressed it during his speech in Parliament House in Canberra in April 2006, China and Australia "enjoy extensive converging interests". Both governments have committed themselves to accelerating their discussions of a Free Trade Agreement.
The Australia China Business Forum will bring together a wide range of prominent experts from government and business to share their experiences on the immediate opportunities presented by the China-Australia relationship and will share their thoughts on the future direction of that relationship.
This forum will assemble, for the first time in this way, participants from the Australia China Business Council in Australia and the Australian Chambers of Commerce in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
