Client is advised to order “additional sets of original clippings” from us in case they need to keep multiple copies of permanent archive. In the case email/fax/photocopies are produced by us from the original clippings for distribution purpose, we are committed to get the related licenses to ensure the legitimacy of our work when the licensing mechanism becomes available. Client is advised that not all publications are having the copyright licensing mechanism available for media monitoring industry at the moment.
Usage of Fax/photocopy of Clippings:
For all the original clippings we produced, Client has the full legitimacy in disposal and archiving of the materials. Current copyright licenses applied to media monitoring industry generally required that the licensed email/fax/photocopies produced and distributed should be used by one user and for internal reference only. Client should order multiple sets of licensed copies from us for multiple users.
License for Re-distribution and Further Copying:
Client using our copyright licensed reproduction and distribution service (i.e. fax, photocopy, email and web service) should note that certain restrictions apply. Details of which can be found in this web page or you can check with one of our Customer Service staff. Upon signing of our service contract, Client acknowledged being informed of these restrictions and agreed to follow. In case re-distribution and further copying is needed, Client should obtain a separate license from the Hong Kong Copyright Licensing Association and/or relevant publishers.
