1997 was a special year for Andy Ko. He was matriculated by his dream academy, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts - School of drama. Andy took major study in stage acting (degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts). He acted in many famous plays, for instance: Peer Gynt, Macbeth, Mirandolina and All in the timing.
Andy not only won "Scholarships" during his academic years but also won “Outstanding Actor” by acting Peer Gynt and “The best actor” from Hong Kong Drama Festival 1999.
After graduated from H.K.A.P.A. he works with many professional companies, such as: Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, R.T.H.K., T.V.B. ,Ocean Park, Disneyland and Hong Kong Art Festival.
During his stage acting, Andy also acts with guitar, pantomime and magic.
Moreover, he participates in drama education in various schools such as Wah Yan College, Hong Kong, Sacred Heart Canossian School, Ho Tung Technical Government Secondary School, La Salle College, St. Rose of Lima's College and Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School.
In 2005, Andy makes a breakthrough in his acting life. He acts with foreigners in English children drama, in which he steals the limelight with his strength - MAGIC!
Andy is the president of "Music and Magic Theatre".

Andy於1997年入讀香港演藝學院之戲劇學院，主修舞台演技，學士學位課程。在學期所參與之經典劇目包括：《培爾金特》、《馬克百》、《女店主》、《及時行樂》等等。
校內獲取獎項有鍾溥紀念獎學金、春天舞台製作獎學金、成龍獎學金及以《培爾金特》一角，獲頒發《傑出演員獎》。校外於1999年度香港戲劇匯演獲取《優異演員獎》。
畢業後曾在多個職業團體中作演出，包括：香港話劇團、香港電台、電視廣播有限公司、海洋公園、迪士尼樂園及香港藝術節。
再者，於多間中學作戲劇導師。香港華仁書院、嘉諾撒聖心書院、何東女子中學、喇沙書院、聖羅撒書院等等。
2005年是Andy演戲生涯突破的一年。他参與由西方人主辦的兒童英語劇目，並在劇中加入他最擅長的魔術表演元素，令演出更精彩。
現為魔術音樂劇團《奇幻樂團》之主席。
