After seeing his career take off in 1980s, Anthony Wong has appeared in over 100 movies. This versatile actor has also won a host of top industry awards with his skillful portrayals like that of the policeman Sir Wong in Infernal Affairs I and Infernal Affairs II , which immediately won over fans and critics alike. This role also led to his winning Best Supporting Actor honours at the 22nd and 23rd Hong Kong Film Awards. He also captured Best Supporting Actor honours at the 8th Golden Bauhinia Awards and at the 9th Hong Kong Film Critic Society Awards.

Anthony Wong is also a key force in Cantonese live theater, securing outstanding achievements like being named Best Actor for his performance in the tragedy 《螳螂捕禪》at the 10th Hong Kong Drama Awards sponsored by the HK Federation of Drama Societies.
Early in his career Anthony Wong was first feted at the Hong Kong Film Awards for his role in the 1993’s 八仙飯店之人肉叉燒飽，and 1998’s野獸刑警. Film Critics claim that - “No role can fail him”. This reputation along with his numerous prestigious film awards have vaulted Anthony Wong into a place of true prominence within the Chinese entertainment industry. He is one of the few truly impressive actors who has made unique contributions to the development of movie industry.
於93年及98年兩度奪得香港電影金像獎影帝殊榮的黃秋生，在影壇的成就有目共睹。
