Offering flexibility, portability and standardisation, the Diploma in Commerce is an 8-subject programme that students may take to gain advanced standing toward a Bachelor’s degree. Depending on the University, completed Diploma in Commerce offers between 1 to 1.5 years of exemption. To find out which Universities offer exemption, please check with your Programme Consultant.
This Diploma in Commerce comprises of 4 core modules and an additional 4 modules designed to provide the student a specialisation known as a major in some higher education systems.
The total of eight modules equating to roughly 24 - 160 units or credits in higher education systems, is designed to fulfill the general Business requirements of the first year of a university's bachelor's degree in general Commerce or Business. The Diploma of Commerce may count as electives toward year one of the undergraduate degree, and/or those modules may be used to fulfill required classes in a more specific area, e.g. Bachelor of Commerce.
