What we teach @ Block-a-lot?
At Block-a-lot, we focus on building positive behavior and academic development. Through the unique advantage of unit blocks, peers among diverse age groups will learn how to share, cooperate, communicate and lead effectively and skillfully within a group environment.
Academically, children can start to learn the fundamentals of English and Mathematics to excel their performance in interviews and throughout their school lives. Children will learn in an inclusive setting in which they will imitate and communicate with their peers
among diverse age groups.
At Block-a-lot, we provide learning through fun and innovative activities, while giving meaning to the learning process. We offer a wide range of courses in both English and Mathematics beginning at pre-nursery level. For English, we focus on phonics (Letterland phonics), reading, spelling, writing and grammatical skills. For Mathematics, we concentrate on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, patterns and symmetry, solving mathematical problems with meaning, and logical reasoning.
Importance of Leadership skills
Leadership skill is one of the most important assets that a child needs to attain to perform well in schools and onwards. At Block-a-lot, we strive to help children to acquire leader qualities, such as to communicate, share, reason, imagine and create.
Through a variety of activities, a child can master these skills with pride and confidence.
