Box Hill is an educational Institute founded in Australia since the early 90's. We focus on providing early childhood education to young children in both Australia and Hong Kong. Currently, Box Hill has two kindergartens and child care centers in Australia, and there will be three schools in Hong Kong by mid 2010.
In 2004, Box Hill established their first kindergarten and pre-school in Hong Kong located in Ma On Shan. It is an International Kindergarten and pre-school providing a warm and caring environment for our young children. We have forged a good name in being leaders in offering high quality educational services within this community-it is our dedicated mission to upkeep this excellent reputation.
In 2009, with increasing requests from parents and surrounding communities, the school management decided to extend our coverage beyond New Territories in Hong Kong. The two new schools of Kindergartens and pre-schools are to be opened in 2010, in Fo Tan and Tseung Kwan O.
The new schools have adopted the latest in interior design, offering a most modern nurturing environment for learning. The creativity and state of the art facilities can stimulate the imagination of our children. We have also upgraded to high end computers in all three branches for children and teachers.
Besides the fully equipped technology, a most important aspect at Box Hill is that of our well trained and professional personnel. Box Hill is always looking for new opportunities for growing, improving the quality of education, to better serve our community and our children.
Curriculum
The program is based on themes. These units of inquiry include the study of languages, Mathematics, Knowledge and understanding of the world, Personal, Social and Physical Development, the Arts as well as Science and Technology. Of most importance is play, which supports a child's learning, giving opportunities for development in all areas and providing access to the curriculum.
Nursery class (2.0 – 2.8)
Students who are 2 years old by September 1 st of the new academic year.
