About Us
ARTODAY is the transformation of Enders Studio which was founded in 1996 by Enders Wong upon his graduation from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, FAA. In 2005, Enders started Artoday with the mission to provide children with the highest level of art education.
Being an art educator for over 10 years and as the Art Director of Artoday, Enders has designed an excellent teaching approach. Teaching all the basic techniques and theory step by step, students will build up an excellent level of artistic skills. This will allow them to develop their individuality as an artist through creativity and imagination, teach them how to appreciate art and incorporate it in our lives as inspiration and cultural learning.
A wide range of art and music classes for children and adults are offered at Artoday. With a fully equipped pottery workshop, a few spacious studios, a gallery and our experienced instructors, students are in the best environment to explore their artistic talents.
Individual Lessons:
Professional TRAINING course for those entering music competitions and examinations
This course focuses on the professional training and preparation specifically for music examinations and competitions, including the upcoming 63rd Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. Trainings include: Enhancing performing skills, Understanding stage manners and Building up confidence. Participation in the music festival or other competitions will be anticipated.
- Only accepted through interviews
- Grade 1-4 - $1200/4 classes (45 mins/class)
- Grade 5-8 - $1800/4 classes (1 hour/class)
NATIVE ENGLISH / PUTONGHUA Piano Classes
This is for children who study in international schools. By using a language that favours them, their ability to understand the materials is more outstanding. If you are a parent and you want to upgrade you kids' English ability, this is the right thing for you as well. Meanwhile, bilingual piano classes can be provided upon request.
FUN Violin Classes
We always focus on what children really need. Therefore, we do not promote starting violin lessons in a traditional way. Instead, we follow what children's instincts are and go with the flow. We have a unique teaching method that most children prefer and have an intention to learn actively.
Group Lessons:
African Drum Creativity Group
(available for children aged 2 and above)
There's research proving that playing african drums can enhance children's attention span and ability to remember details. Our experienced African drum teachers normally meet with the kid at the first lesson and decide what should be followed in the later classes. Besides, by holding a relaxing African drum group, students will be able to enjoy and understand a different culture; at the same time, they will learn to create their own musical style using some of the drum techniques as well.
Music Theory Playgroup
(Beginner: age 2 -3; Intermediate: age 4-5)
This course combines music and theory together. Unlike traditional theory classes, this course includes fun activities designed for children. Through activities, they can use their imagination to apply music to their daily lives. This helps children in learning music vocabularies and theory as well.
ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory
This course focuses on the preparation for the ABRSM Grade 5 music theory examination. Apart from conventional one-on-one theory lessons, we also encourage collective learning. By grouping all the students into one class, discussions and interactions can be a benefit for students to learn from each other. Applications for the upcoming theory examination can also be arranged for those who are in the advanced course.
