* To promote inter-hall interaction, hall spirit, sportsmanship and exchange between local and non-local residents, which are built around the core values of friendship, respect and cooperation.

* To recognize the contributions of Prof. Edmond Ko (our former Vice-President, Undergraduate Education) to charting the directions in establishing and developing student residences.
