Learning Adventures
We offer playgroups for kids from 10 months to 5 ½ years old
Our courses are specially designed to maximize your child's confidence and performance. We
emphasize a "hands-on" approach to learning rather than relying on the more traditional
method of memorization and rote-learning. This allows your child to develop confidence in his
ability to use the knowledge he has gained.
All Learning Adventures classes are taught by a native English speaker.
Learning Adventures uses a multi-media approach to learning. In addition to any worksheets
that might be given, story telling, role play, songs, music, and arts & crafts may be used
Our sister company, English Adventures was founded in 2008 by Cara Ng. Playgroups that
inspire confidence in children, that are fun and exciting and make learning and speaking
English interesting to both parent and child were what she wanted to offer. Parents and
children alike have enjoyed her classes and gained confidence and imagination are a
fantastic start to early learning. Many of her former students have gone on to famous schools
and kindergartens in Hong Kong, including Good Hope School, DGS, ESF, Canadian
International School, Learning Habitat and many more.
When the opportunity to open a second, much larger, centre presented itself, Cara jumped at
the chance. Learning Adventures, Shatin branch, has an amazing 6000’ of private outdoor
playground and over 2800’ of classroom space. With hundreds of toys, books and activities
the playgroups at Learning Adventures will be unparalleled!
English Playgroups
Our confidence building Playgroups are specially designed to make English interesting and fun
Learning Adventures’ multi-media approach to learning stimulates imagination and creativity.
Story telling, role play, music, and arts & crafts, are used in conjunction with emphasis on fine
and gross motor skills, to develop the all-rounded child.
We also aim to help parents, helpers and grandparents learn different ways to play, interact and
teach their children so that the entire family benefits. It is for this reason that we require every
child attending Baby & Toddler Adventures to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All Learning Adventures classes are taught by native English –speakers who seek to assist your
child’s intellectual, physical and social development.
Our emphasis on confidence, fun and imagination has translated to our students being
accepted at some of Hong Kong’s most prestigious kindergartens and schools.
Class Structure
1) Welcome “circle time”
2) Craft time
3) Outdoor activities (weather permitting)
4) Play time: sharing, taking turns, fine motor skills
5) Songs & Story “circle time”
6) Group exercise and goodbye song
Total: 1 hour 15 minutes
In this safe environment, and with a simple routine, your child will learn to share,
take turns and co-operate with others. They will learn how to make friends and
interact in social situations.
