Asia Fine Art Limited is an independent working gallery - formed in Hong Kong in 2003 to represent a fresh approach to promoting the works of artists from the Asia region
The directors had been buying fine art from Myanmar and China for many years. We felt there was a need to better represent the interests and needs of both Asian artists and collectors worldwide - so we formed Asia Fine Art Limited (AFA)
To reach our art collecting clientele AFA has a rolling program of exhibitions both in Hong Kong and overseas.
The AFA website shows a wide range of styles and mediums from our gallery artists, currently some 60 artists from some 10 countries
To further meet the discerning requirements of our clients, AFA works with gallery partnerships in Europe and North America.
AFA is a company committed to representing and promoting emerging artists, particularly from Asia. We want to put the fun back into the art scene and break down some of the stuffiness and elitism that often exists in galleries and exhibitions
We visit our gallery artists regularly to select their best works and to seek new and talented artists
AFA only sells original fine art - we do not offer reproduction or copy artworks
Services
Procurement
AFA represent collectors and investors in obtaining works by favoured artists before they come to the market. This service is both personal and confidential and requires long term commitment on both sides.
Commission paintings
Many of the AFA gallery artists will undertake commission paintings in the size and composition required by the customer. Commissioning a painting can be both complex and time consuming – thought and timescale have to be considered by both parties. Commission paintings form an important part of our business.
Consultancy
Our team sources paintings and sculptures for designers and architects on a project by project basis. Wherever possible we try to use available styles and textures to suit the needs of the project in order to supply competitively priced artworks. Time is often an issue with this type of consultancy, meeting the agreed deadlines is an important facet of project consultancy.
Auctions
AFA offers representation at auction houses worldwide. We will purchase on the clients behalf in a confidential and third party manner. Our terms for this service vary from case to case. AFA bring paintings and artworks to auction for owners in order to obtain the best realization available in a confidential manner.
Cataloguing
To bring some collections to auction and the market, it often necessary to catalogue the collection to maximize the full extent and worth of the works. AFA are experienced in this service, having staff and customized computer databases designed for traveling and working out of the office. This service is carried out with complete confidentiality.
Theme events
The Sik On Street gallery organises theme events for Corporate Clients, Consulates, incoming overseas artists and private art exhibitions. The gallery specializes in national day events and launch exhibits. Forward planning is necessary for any theme event.
Gallery events
From time to time, we let our galley space to clients and corporates for special events. If you have this requirement, please contact us direct. Each request is considered on its merits, we can usually co-operate, but the gallery is usually forward booked by many months.
To safeguard our customers interests, we will issue a certificate of authenticity with each painting purchased. Each certificate contains an image of the painter and the painting, a reference number of the painting, the artists signature, the signature of a director of Asia Fine Art Limited and our undertaking that the painting is authentic.
Despatch
We despatch worldwide, oil paintings and watercolours rolled in protective cardboard tubes direct to the address you request, by Speed Post, free of charge
Ready to hang framed pictures and lacquer paintings are boxed or crated -frames, packing and shipping are charged at cost. Insurance is not included in the gallery price of the painting, to cover goods in transit but we will be pleased to do this for you at cost. Unfortunately, we cannot assist with customs charges
