HOK Advance Strategies worked with American Express to develop new Alternative Workplace Standards.
Our research on the company's current space use in existing facilities created a baseline. Advance Strategies provided guidance on global workplace trends and industry best practices and validated internal HR, IT, Facilities Management, Change Management, and Communications policies as they relate to the new Workplace Standards.
In addition to facilitating the work of the Alternative Workplace Standards team, we refined space and environment options, design concepts, wayfinding and graphics.
Building on earlier efforts for San Francisco's Transbay Transit Center, HOK Advance Strategies studied a civic hub to connect the Bay Area's 25 million annual riders with eight transit systems and high-speed rail to Southern California.
HOK Advance Strategies led the creation of a program of space and functional needs for the new multimodal complex. We researched other terminals, analyzed retail needs at the Transit Center location and led goal-setting and programming sessions with the Transbay Joint Powers Authority and user agencies.
