Masterpieces of classic wine making from the Russian Tsar's winery Massandra. Established in 1894 at the Black Sea Coast, Yalta, Crimea
Its cellars are housed in seven 150-metre tunnels bored into the side of a mountain. The tunnels have permanent temperature around the year. Contained there are over one million bottles, the oldest of which are a few ones of a sherry with a vintage date of 1775. One of these was sold for US$ 50 000 at Sotheby's in 2001. |

Today the winery has over 20 wines in its portfolio. These include dry whites, red, sweet and fortified wines. The dry wines are rustic, with oxidative (walnut-like) notes.
