高雷簡史本港六十年代末期，時值經濟不景，失學青少年眾多，本校辦學團體「高雷旅港同鄉會」有見及此，乃於一九七一年創辦高雷中學，盡量收容家境貧困、面臨失學之學生，並代謀半晝兼職，以助家計，開「半工讀」之先河，為貧苦青少年創學業之新機。由於本校辦學成績裨益社會非淺，備受香港政府嘉許，特准於一九八八年由私立非牟利學校轉為津貼中學，並獲撥地八萬餘呎，於觀塘興建現代化校舍，宏敷教澤，作育英才。辦學宗旨
